Description

A group of three putti: two lie fast asleep in the foreground, to the right; one is standing to the left, holding a basket full of vine cuttings and bunches of grapes. The painting, part of a series representing the Elements of Nature (water, air, earth, and fire), once belonged to King Louis XV, as did the corresponding painting depicting Air.
