Description

This considerably sized nativity scene is composed of ivory and coral figurines with gilded brass finishes, red jasper columns, and silver and mother-of-pear details. We can compare it to those at the Pepoli Museum in Trapani, where several coral objects are kept. Many believe that some of these small sculptures may be attributed to a well-known artisan, Andrea Tipa, with the help of some family members.
