Notes under the stars 

As part of the summer festival Di sera… especially, on Thursday 11 July 2024, the guided tours of the House Museum and the garden will be followed by a special musical moment: at 10 pm, the KhromaDuo, formed by mandolinist Eugenio Palumbo and harpist Anna Pilleroni, will perform a program dedicated to the music of the ‘900, a century of rebirth for plucked instruments.

The evening guided tours are dedicated to the discovery of the precious permanent collection of the House Museum and the scenic garden that surrounds it, enhanced for the ocasion by evocative light scenarios.

Eugenio Palumbo Praised for his “virtuous hands” and “disarming expressive ability”, he represents the prototype of the new mandolin generation. The 2023/2024 season sees him as the protagonist in the performance of Vivaldi’s Mandolin Concertos with the Italian Virtuosi. He was part of the Cherubini Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti and took part in several opera productions inculding Mozart’s Don Giovanni, at the Pavarotti-Freni Municipal in Modena, Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny by Kurt Weill, at the Teatro Regio in Parma and the “Romolo Valli” Municipal Theater in Reggio Emilia, with the “Arturo Toscanini” Orchestra.

Anna Pilleroni 

She is one of the emerging harpists of the Italian music scene.  His talent and dedication have been recognized in several national and international competitions, including the “International Young Talents Competition, city of Gorizia”, the “LAMS Matera Award” and the “International Competition Bale-Valle”, Croatia in which he won the absolute first prize in Harp Duo in the 2017 and as a soloist in the 2022. He plays permanently at the Gorizia Harp Ensemble “Rainbow of Magic Harps” with national and international concerts. Among the orchestras with which he collaborates are the “Brixiae Harmoniae”, “Nefelibata of Maastricht”, the “Philarmonie Sittard”, the “Limburg Yeugd Symfonie Orkest” and the “Orchestra STU. D.I.O.” with which he made a tour in the Canary Islands.
